Mirage Movement Dance Co.

 Semester-based hip hop classes for all levels are held at The Artisan's Courtyard, 1755 Westwood Way, Fairbanks 

Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm: Beginning Hip-Hop.

In this class dancers will be introduced to the fundamentals of Hip-Hop.

Dancers will learn a beginner piece of choreography and how to apply the fundamentals in that choreography.

Starting March 2019 MMDC will offer a weekly two day training set for intermediate and advanced dancers:

Fridays 8:00-9:00pm & Saturdays 7:00-8:00pm : Intermediate/Advanced Hip-Hop.

Dancers will continue to establish their foundational skills preparing them for challenging choreography.

They will also have the opportunity to apply those skills during freestyle.

ALBERT-Animation Hip Hop

 

Albert moved to the United States in 2009 and began performing with the Ating Lahi youth group -- a nonprofit, Filipino folk dance group. In 2012, he branched out into the Fairbanks dance community where he began teaching hip-hop at Mo Holland dance studio. While teaching, Albert honed in on his own unique style of hip hop-- an eclectic urban flavor, inspired by a multitude of dance styles: animation, robotics, popping, waving, and warping. Albert is so excited to join the Simply Core Dance Company as he continues his artistic journey.

ALVIN- Urban Hip Hop

Alvin moved to Alaska in 2007 and started performing with The Ating Lahi (Our Heritage) youth, a Filipino folk dance non-profit with his brother, Albert in 2009. He began teaching hip- hop at Mo Holland dance studio in 2012, and started to discover his own style. Alvin has been inspired by a multitude of dance genres: animation, robotics, popping, waving, warping, urban contemporary & lyrical. His talents are best expressed through dance, art, theater, and writing. Alvin aspires to grow and expand his artistic expression....aiming to inspire, empower, and share his passion with his students.
